Century Child Est un album du groupe de métal finlandais Nightwish. Il est son quatrième album, publié dans l'an 2002.

Il est le premier album avec le baissier Cadre Hietala, antérieurement membre du groupe Sinergy, qui aussi fait voix, en remplaçant à Sami Vänskä. Century Child Comprend des chansons qu'ils touchent une grande variété de thèmes et pensées dans ses lettres, depuis la furie (en Slaying the dreamer) jusqu'au plus complet romantisme (en Forever yours). La production de l'album est très soignée.

Le disque aussi a la particularité de comprendre une version de "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra" (The Phantom of the Opère), originalmente écrite par Andrew Lloyd Webber pour Sarah Brightman et Michael Crawford. Cette oeuvre a aussi été versionada par des bandes du monde de l'heavy métal gothique comme Dreams of Sanity.
