Katowice (Nommez polonais antérieur: Kątowicze, 1953-1956 Stalinogród - "Ville de Staline", en tchèque Katovice, en allemand Kattowitz) est une ville importante de la région historique de Grande Silésie en Pologne meridional, sur les rivières Klodnica et Rawa.

Depuis 1999, Katowice est la capitale du Voivodato de Silésie, et antérieurement était la capitale du Voivodato de Katowice. Katowice Est la ville la plus importante du Zone Industrielle de Silésie Supérieure.
